Caged In His Love

I walked out of my room the other day – smiley face and all. The sun was shining with joy, the clouds were reflecting the glory of God, the birds were singing their worship to God... But the people, well, let’s just say they were the exact opposite of the words I repeated to myself ten times over as I walked out of my room:
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self-control
That’s when it hit me: if you let the world dictate to you how your day should be, you’ll find yourself stuck in an abusive and depressing relationship with the world.
Here’s my morning:
A girl shoves herself in front of me in an extra long queue of some very edgy people...
A “friend” uses the ‘OH.... I KNOW YOU’ line before they invite themselves into the very same spot the little lady shoved herself into... > good morning to you too! <
A friend [?] who never seems to want to share anything that is hers with you throws a 13 year old tantrum when you kindly refuse to give her the only pen you have...
Just work with me here, and imagine all the emotions I’ve experienced after such exposure to the elements of the ‘weather’ of the world... And it’s only 10am!

Abused! That’s how I felt on that fateful morning. The world, in which we live, with which we have relationship is, to put it quite blatantly, mean and selfish. It sucks the life out of you and when it realises you’re not all that fun to suck the life out of, it spits at you. Not fun!
But how are we to respond to such elements as we traverse this world?

Well, one thing for sure is that we are caged in His love. So technically, we’re like (at the risk of sounding controversial) shark-diving.
Let me explain.

The art of shark-diving works (something) like this:
1. Human is put into a metal cage
2. Cage is plunged into shark infested waters
3. Cage is wired so that it emits an electrical field to which the sharks
will respond (but the human does not know this)
4. Sharks respond

So technically, we’re in this cage which releases a field created by His love... And, naturally, the sharks respond.
Shark-diving (I would assume) is exciting.
And so, I conclude life as a Christian is exciting as well (much more than shark-diving). I mean, our cage releases this field (beloved, favoured, Spirit-empowered etc) and the devil responds, attempting to throw us up. But we will rejoice in our thorns and tribulations (just like the apostle Paul), we will get excited because this will produce perseverance.

Let’s get exited because
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self-control
won’t come from us just chilling above the water. We gotta get into that cage, favoured and beloved, and show the devil that in His cage, aint nothing gonna usurp us. Let the sharks go bonkers if they must... I’ll go bonkers too with praise because I know I’m being groomed, trained and equipped.

Plus, this shark-diving (CagedInHisLove) has a 100% safety rate.
All I gotta do is.... Stay Caged In His Love.

I suggest you do it too.
